ingredients:
1 cup butter
1and1/2 cups of sugar,
1 and1/2 cups of self raising flour,
5 eggs
1tsp-ice-cream essance
preperation:time 40mins
preheat oven at 170 degrees cel,sieve self raising flour,so that the flour is fine with out lumps,beat butter and sugar till smooth,then start adding 1 egg at a time till all eggs are finished and u get a smooth,silky look,add the essance now then start adding flour 1 tbsp at a time and keep mixing in one direction only,and finally when all the flour is added (all this needs to b done slowly not briskly),needs to look velvetty and idli batter consistency.then apply some butter to a oven safe dishand sprinkle some flour evenly on the base so that when the cake is over it is not sticky,then pour thebatter into the vessel/dish and bake for 40 mins or until the nife comes out clean.
